What Is a Bevi Machine? How It Works, What It Dispenses and Who It Suits

A Bevi machine is a smart water dispenser that plumbs into your building’s water line and gives each person a drink made their way. Instead of pouring plain water, people use a touchscreen to choose still or sparkling and add flavor, so one machine can stand in for the water cooler and the stack of canned drinks next to it.

If you’re weighing one for your workplace, this guide covers how a Bevi works, what comes out of it, and which model suits your space.

Denver Beverage places Bevi machines in commercial locations only: offices, warehouses, hotels, and similar workplaces on the Front Range and the I-70 corridor. If you’re searching for a home machine, this program isn’t the right fit, but if you run a business, you’re in the right place.

How a Bevi Machine Works

Most of what happens in a Bevi happens inside the unit, and the flavor setup is the part most buyers don’t expect. Here’s how the machine gets from your water line to a finished drink.

The machine connects to a cold water line in your break room or kitchen, and the incoming water passes through a built-in filtered water system before it reaches the nozzle. Flavor comes from sealed Bevi flavor pods housed inside the machine, not from bag-in-box concentrate. When you make a selection, the machine adds the amount of flavor you chose to your pour.

Here’s the sequence a user follows at the machine:

  • Wake the screen: Walk up and tap the touchscreen
  • Choose still or sparkling: Select your water type and set the carbonation level
  • Pick flavors: Choose one flavor, or blend up to three in a single pour
  • Add an enhancement: Add electrolytes, vitamins, or caffeine if you want one
  • Pour: Hold your cup under the nozzle and pour.

That’s the whole routine for the person at the machine. If you choose sparkling, the carbonation comes from CO2 that’s supplied as part of the Denver Beverage program, so your team has no gas to order or swap out.

What a Bevi Machine Dispenses

A Bevi covers a lot of ground from one nozzle, which is why it can replace both a water cooler and a stack of canned drinks. Here’s what it offers.

  • Still filtered water: Plain or flavored
  • Flavored sparkling water: Carbonation level is adjustable per pour
  • Zero-calorie drink options: Zero-calorie and lightly sweetened options both exist
  • Enhanced water: Electrolyte and vitamin add-ins, or a caffeine boost, added at the time of pour

The current Bevi roster includes 12 or more natural flavors, such as Blackberry Lime, Black Cherry, Coconut, and Cucumber. Each user can blend up to three flavors per pour and add up to two enhancements. Bevi also offers BeviPop, its soda alternative product line.

The mix of customizable flavor combinations and enhancement options is what sets a Bevi apart from a standard plumbed-in water cooler. It works as an office hydration solution and a beverage station in one, and it cuts the single-use bottles and cans your team would otherwise go through.

Standup 2.0 vs Countertop: Which Model Fits Your Space

Denver Beverage places both the Bevi Standup 2.0 and the Countertop model. They aren’t interchangeable, because each is sized for a different traffic load and footprint. Here’s how they compare on the points that matter most when you’re deciding where to put a machine. For the manufacturer’s full specifications, see the Bevi Standup 2.0 product page.

Footprint and dimensions

Size decides where a machine can physically go, so check this before anything else.

  • Standup 2.0: 66 inches tall, 16 inches wide, 21.25 inches deep, and approximately 300 lbs. It’s freestanding and needs floor space next to a water line
  • Countertop: A shorter unit designed for counter placement. Check the manufacturer’s spec sheet for exact dimensions

Plumbing and power

Both models need a water line and an electrical connection, and it’s worth confirming both before you inquire.

  • Standup 2.0: Needs a direct cold water line and a standard electrical outlet, both within reach of the planned location
  • Countertop: The same plumbing and power requirements. Verify both are available at counter height

Which Model Fits Your Traffic

Traffic is the main factor here. The Standup is built for volume, and the Countertop suits lighter use.

  • Standup 2.0: Rated for 26 to 50-plus users. It’s best suited to open-plan offices with 50 or more employees, warehouse break rooms, and high-traffic industrial sites.
  • Countertop: Better suited to smaller teams, conference room clusters, or supplemental stations where a second machine makes sense but a full freestanding unit doesn’t.

Installation and Timing

Whichever model you choose, it’s worth planning the install early. Installation is handled by Denver Beverage’s own technicians, not subcontractors. Installs take planning and are rarely immediate, so factor that into your timeline if you’re fitting out a new office.

Is a Bevi Machine Right for Your Workplace?

Not every workplace needs a machine like this, so it helps to match it to how your space is used. Here’s where it tends to work best.

Offices are the most common fit, especially larger ones with 100 or more employees and open-plan layouts, where investing in workplace amenities is a priority. It also suits warehouses, industrial break rooms, and hotels, where a high-traffic beverage station has to handle volume without constant restocking.

This is a commercial program, and Denver Beverage doesn’t place machines in homes. For sustainability teams, there’s one more reason to consider it: it reduces single-use plastic bottle waste.

How Bevi Compares to the Other Machines Denver Beverage Carries

Denver Beverage carries three bottleless water machines: Bevi, Borg & Overström, and LaVit. They’re all part of our filtered water and ice programs, and they suit different buyers. Here’s an honest look at each so you can narrow it down before you call.

  • Bevi: Flavored sparkling water, still water, and enhancement options from a single touchscreen. Best for offices that want a full hydration station to replace both the water cooler and the bottled-drink habit.
  • Borg & Overstrom: Premium design with still and sparkling water. It’s typically chosen for reception areas and executive floors, where aesthetics matter alongside function.
  • LaVit: Another bottleless machine in our lineup. Ask us how it compares for your space and team size.

No one machine wins in every situation. The right choice depends on your team size, your space, and what you want from the machine. If you’re not sure which direction fits, a Denver Beverage account manager can help you sort through it.

How Much Does a Bevi Machine Cost?

The price of a Bevi depends on your account, so it’s more useful to look at how the program is set up. Here’s how it works with Denver Beverage.

You get the machine on a subscription. For qualifying accounts, the machine is placed at no charge, and the subscription covers the product, service, and maintenance, so there’s no upfront equipment purchase.

Denver Beverage doesn’t publish monthly pricing because the cost varies by account size and program. If you’d like a number for your location, request a quote and you’ll hear back within 24 hours.

If you’re setting up a full refreshment program at the same time, our office coffee service, snacks and pantry supply, and coffee brewing equipment pages cover the rest of the office program. To see everything we place, browse our filtered water and ice programs.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the Bevi machine work?

A Bevi smart water dispenser connects to your building’s cold water line, filters the water, and lets you build a drink from a touchscreen. You pick still or sparkling, one or more flavors from the sealed Bevi flavor pods, and any enhancements you want. The machine then dispenses the finished drink in one pour.

What flavors are available on the Bevi machine?

Bevi offers 12 or more natural flavors, including Blackberry Lime, Black Cherry, Coconut, and Cucumber. You can blend up to three flavors per pour and add up to two enhancements, such as electrolytes, vitamins, or caffeine. BeviPop, Bevi’s soda alternative line, is part of the current range.

How much does a Bevi machine cost for an office?

Denver Beverage places Bevi machines on a subscription basis, with no upfront equipment cost for qualifying accounts. Pricing isn’t published because it varies by account. Call 303-295-3737 or request a quote, and you’ll hear back within 24 hours.

How do you maintain and refill a Bevi machine?

Denver Beverage’s own technicians handle maintenance and refills as part of the subscription, so your team doesn’t manage restocking or service calls. Repairs carry a 90-day labor warranty.

Is Bevi water healthy?

Bevi can fit a healthy routine because it offers zero-calorie and lightly sweetened options, and the water is filtered before it’s flavored. Electrolyte and vitamin add-ins are optional. For offices tracking wellness benefits, the drink options and reduced single-use plastic are the main points.
